In September, 2008 the charitable association „European Institute for public Safety inc.“ has been based in Cottbus. This charitable association has originated in narrow cooperation with the Fraunhofer use centre in Cottbus as well as the Brandenburg University of Technology.<br />
An aim of the association is to reach the improvement of the cooperation from fire brigade, rescue service and emergency services. Furthermore the association has positioned itself to the aim to make available aid or uses for the free use for abovementioned services. The honourary members of the association promote the basic research and applied research in the area of the systems of information and communication systems of fire brigade, rescue service and emergency services. Furthermore an improvement should be reached by the cooperation with national and international research establishments and institutions in the international cooperation of different auxiliary services.
